First, log in with your UW NetID. After that, if you are still having issues, please email uwbcelr@uw.edu.
How do I self-place into work?

- 真人线上娱乐 nature of your community engagement work aligns with the learning goals of your course.
- Have instructor and site supervisor approval of self-placement to be used for your community-engaged learning requirement.
If you meet all three criteria, you may submit the self-placement form linked under the “About” section on your CCUW course page. *Please note: we require the name and contact information of your supervisor to approve the position. If the form does NOT allow you to select your supervisor, please add this information in one of the later text entry boxes.
I’m enrolled in two CELR courses; can I register for two CELR positions? (One self-placement; one registered OR two self-placements)
Yes. With the approval from both of your instructors, students can complete one community-engaged learning commitment and have it count toward two community-engaged classes. This arrangement will require you to reflect upon your community-engaged learning experience through multiple 真人线上娱乐es similar to having one text assigned to two courses. If you plan to use one community-engaged learning commitment for two courses, register for one position. 真人线上娱乐n email the CELR team at uwbcelr@uw.edu letting us know your intentions and that you have your instructors’ approval. We will administratively register your community-engaged learning site to both courses so that both instructors will be aware of your placement and receive a final evaluation from your site supervisor at the end of the quarter.
Can I complete my CELR hours in an organization where I am currently working or volunteering?
It depends on the class and on your professors. It is recommended that you try a new organization to explore a variety of major/career options (sometimes that’s not possible). Talk to your professor—they may approve your request or ask that you complete CELR hours in addition to your current hours.
Can I use/count the hours I’ve worked with one organization in two separate courses?
It depends on the class and on your professors. Confirm that this works for the faculty of both courses and make sure you know exactly how many hours each faculty expects you to work. This is not allowed in some classes, like BHS 496 Health Studies Fieldwork or BEDUC 495 Applied Experience. It may be allowed for other classes if both professors agree.
*Note: You must complete unique coursework for each class. That means, for example, that you can’t write the same reflective essays for both classes—this is a type of plagiarism.
How can I bring this with me after I graduate?
真人线上娱乐re is a variety of ways that you can stay connected to your community after you graduate. Either with your current community partner or other volunteer organizations. We list some post-graduation opportunities on the Connected Huskies Database, filter by senior (may include when you can apply) or alumni.
