Changes to Apportionment of Senators at UWT and UWB
真人线上娱乐 Faculty Senate recently approved Class A Legislation 181: Apportionment of Senators at the UW Bothell and UW Tacoma Campuses. With this vote, UWB’s senators will no longer be elected as ‘members at large’ (each representing all voting faculty on campus). Instead, UWB senators will have school-based constituencies. This change will take effect with UWB’s Senate elections in Spring 2026.
PREVIOUS SYSTEM:
Campus Total (207 faculty) = 6 senators
(One senator per 34.5 faculty):
? Members At Large = 6 senators
NEW SYSTEM:
Campus Total (207 faculty) = 8 senators
(One senator per 25.9 faculty):
? STEM (84 faculty) = 3 senators
? Business (28 faculty) = 1 senator
? Educational Studies (15 faculty) = 1 senator
? SIAS (64 faculty) = 2 senators
? Nursing (16 faculty) = 1 senator
